Our story

Wilhelm Aarøe, Yngve Tvedt and Harald Aarøe from Ålesund founded Molja AS in 2003. Anders Ervik came on board as owner in 2005. With backgrounds in finance, the real estate business and the seafood industry, our ambition was to establish a brokerage house based on the klipfish environment in Ålesund.

We wanted to be an objective party that through low transaction costs and a high trading volume could provide correct market information to our customers. This will in turn make it easier for customers to make good decisions.

Today, a considerable part of whitefish sales in Norway are conducted with our help. We trade approximately 40,000 tonnes of whitefish annually, valued at around NOK 2.3 billion.

As the demand for several of our services has increased, Molja has grown into a robust and dynamic team of five dedicated employees who work tirelessly to create added value and new business opportunities for our customers.
